Background Checks

Thank you so much for volunteering to be a Room Parent, and/or assisting with our Website.  

The Board of Education requires a background check for those volunteers who are likely to be working with students while not under the direct supervision of District Staff.  Click here to review the District Letter to Volunteers regarding Background Checks.   Background Checks are valid for 5 years. 

If you are unsure whether you have an up-to-date background check, please email Dater PTO at daterpto@ramsey.k12.nj.us.   BEFORE you fill out the paperwork. Additionally, you could also call the Dater School office to check.  Please DO NOT SUBMIT paperwork until you have checked.

To start your background screening, please complete three easy steps:

Step 1:  Go to

Step 3: Provide Legal Authorization and Certification
