THEIR MISSION

Law Enforcement Against Drugs will provide the leadership, resources, and management to ensure law enforcement agencies have the means to partner with our educators, community leaders, and families by providing proven and effective programs to deter youth and adults from drug use, drug-related crimes, bullying, and violence. We are committed to reinforcing the mutual respect, goodwill and relations between law enforcement and their communities.

THEIR VISION

To create safer, healthier communities free of drugs, bullying, and violence.

DATER PARTNERS WITH RAMSEY POLICE

Dater School and Dater School PTO partner with the Ramsey Police Department to bring LEAD to our schools beginning with our 5th Grade students. Our mission is to provide our children with the life skills needed to live a happy, healthy, and drug-free lifestyle.

Our program includes in-school student education and lots of fun events. This year, LEAD instruction will begin in March for the 5th grade students. Officer Sean Beamon, the Dater LEAD Police Officer and Ramsey dad with three children in the district, will come in once per week to provide engaging lessons about saying no to drugs, saying yes to kindness and respect, and being a good citizen. In addition, several fun events are coordinated to complement these lessons and foster team-building in the student community. In prior years the events have included: LEADs Got Talent, snow tubing, Excite Games, and a LEAD Pool Party/Graduation.

This is an amazing program that helps our kids on their path to becoming leaders who make good decisions. We are lucky to have this opportunity in Ramsey!
